Supported Employment

The Supported Employment Program provides job skill development, including resume building, job seeking, interview skills, placement, training and ongoing job coaching support services to Vocational Visions persons served seeking employment in South Orange County. We promote opportunities for individuals to excel in their positions and achieve their highest level of personal and economic independence.

Employment Support and On‑the‑Job Training

Supported Employment offers both individual and group placements at community business sites. Participants receive one‑to‑one support when needed or join small work groups with shared coaching. Job Coaches provide hands‑on training, workplace skill development, and ongoing support tailored to each person.

Job Coaches help participants learn tasks, build independence, communicate with supervisors, and navigate new environments. Support continues as long as needed to help participants succeed and grow in their roles.

Job placements include positions with public parks, grocery stores, retail stores, hardware stores, restaurants, hotels, schools, libraries, janitorial services and many more businesses and service providers.

Building confidence and independence

Working in the community gives our persons served the chance to practice independence, build confidence, strengthen their social skills, and learn how to navigate real workplaces. These experiences help participants connect with coworkers, meet new people, and apply their skills in meaningful, everyday settings.
