Skill Building and Daily Living Support
DTAC Alambre focuses on developing essential living skills through structured support and hands-on learning. Direct Support Professionals help persons served build social skills, strengthen safety awareness, and improve self-help abilities such as toileting, hand washing, feeding, and other daily routines.
Program activities include arts and crafts, music classes, group games, and social time, creating a fun, supportive environment where participants can learn and thrive.
Staff provide high levels of support through:
-
1:2 ratio for self-help skill development
-
1:1 ratio for behavioral support
Community Enrichment
Participants enjoy both on-site and community-based experiences designed to promote independence and real-world learning. Outings may include local parks, libraries, recreation centers, and volunteer opportunities.
Through these activities, persons served practice socialization, communication, safety skills, and community awareness—all guided by person-centered choices and interests.
