The Hive

The Hive is a partial site-based program, offering classroom instruction on topics such as life skills development and personal safety and wellness, along with community outings, volunteer opportunities, and other leisure activities to provide a full experience for our persons served.

On-Site Activities

The Hive operates with a 1:4 staff‑to‑persons served ratio. Our persons served receive individualized support while enjoying the flexibility to participate in activities that interest them. Our DSPs create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where individuals can build confidence, practice social skills, and connect with peers. On‑site experiences include Karaoke, Freeze Dance Parties, Cooking Club, themed events such as prom nights, celebrations, Bingo, arts and crafts, and other creative and recreational activities.

Volunteering and Community Outings

Persons served also participate in volunteer opportunities and community outings designed to build independence, social skills, and community belonging. Outings may include visits to local parks, libraries, recreation centers, and community events, along with volunteer roles that promote personal growth and meaningful contribution.
